At MJG Contracting Corp., we blend flexibility, durability, and color-retentive finishes by combining quality acrylic stucco with cultured stone accents. In a recent Huntington project for Apple Associates Investment Homes, this system was selected to create a refined front facade with lasting curb appeal.

Moisture-resistant yet breathable: A proper assembly includes a vapor barrier and waterproof membrane beneath acrylic finish, allowing water vapor to escape while repelling liquid moisture for long-term durability.
Enhanced flexibility & crack resistance: Acrylic stucco adapts with thermal shifts better than cement-based stucco, reducing risk of hairline cracks.
Color retention & weather protection: Uses integral pigments and acrylic binders that resist fading, yellowing, and dirt accumulation over time.

The front entry received cultured stone bases for grounding elegance.
Above and around these bases, acrylic stucco was applied to framed wall sections—including drain mat and WRB, followed by scratch and brown coats.
Clients later enhanced the stucco with a coat of Benjamin Moore exterior paint, compatible with stucco finishes and adding final color customization and longevity.
The result: a cohesive, low-maintenance facade that can be repainted later with ease.

Substrate Prep & Vapor Barrier – Install waterproof membrane and vapor retarder beneath stucco to safeguard against condensation and water infiltration.
Scratch & Brown Coat Application – Portland cement scratch and brown coats cured per TSIB technical guidelines before applying finish.
Acrylic Finish Coat – Applied using matching aggregate textures and embedded pigments. Ensures flexibility, color integrity, and minimal maintenance.
Cultured Stone Accents – Set over engineered bases for durability and degrade protection at entry points.
Optional Finish Paint – Sealed with high-quality Benjamin Moore exterior in desired hue; ready for future refresh when desired.

Low maintenance: Resistant to staining and fading—cleaning and repainting is optional.
Energy efficient & sound dampening: Dense stucco layers offer insulation benefits and buffer urban noise.
Design flexibility: Paintable facade and stone detail enable instant visual appeal and future customization.
